Lloyd Fox (Resilience Worker)

I’m qualified in mental health first aid and counselling. I am actively involved in all the services delivered by Marauders, including delivering talks on mental health and leading walks. My duties include responsibility for maintaining the collation of data for reports, together with the monitoring and the carrying out of general administrative duties while networking within the local community.
What drives me is the belief in “never giving up and always push forward”. This has been my philosophy since I started traveling at age 17. I like to keep active and stay fit, and my passion for fitness has led to me becoming qualified as a level 2 fitness instructor. In 2013 I joined the French Foreign Legion. I wanted a new start in life and to serve an excellent cause, but unfortunately, I failed the medical due to small issues surrounding my eyesight. I have never backed down or walked away from pushing my own limits and helping to push others with their potential. I believe this has made me a patient and enthusiastic person with an empathic nature. From growing up in Wales in a small council estate, I appreciate the opportunities I have been given, from the links I have gained from working with companies and the people I’ve met, and time given to help me move progress. I believe if I can make a success then I can encourage others to do the same!
